You will only need to remove your shoes and socks.
The initial treatment will include a free consultation. This is very important to gather a detailed knowledge of your medical history and your lifestyle, enabling a greater understanding of you as a whole person.
I will start by cleansing your feet using a foot spa and then begin with a warm up massage, followed by the reflexology routine on both feet using various techniques, finishing with another massage.
Reflexology itself is not painful to receive but particular reflexes worked over may feel sore or tender. If you have tickly feet, don’t worry, the techniques used are firm and not ticklish.
Some people prefer this as an alternative to foot reflexology if they either have specific foot conditions or just very sensitive feet. It can be just as relaxing and effective as foot reflexology, improving your circulation and benefiting conditions that typically affect the hands and wrists, including arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and RS. Hand reflexology helps maintain manual dexterity, aids recovery from hand injury and rejuvenates overused or tired hands.
You will not be required to remove any clothing for this treatment.

Baby reflexology is suitable from 4 weeks and toddler reflexology from 10 months (when able to stand unaided). It can help with many conditions that affect babies including colic, reflux, wind, it is also calming.
I will come to your home and teach you the techniques so that you can treat your own child.
For baby foot reflexology, the course is 3 sessions of 45 minutes for three weeks. This can be 1:1 or a small group.
For toddlers it is performed on the hands and is 2 sessions for an hour for two weeks. Again, this can be 1: 1 or a small group.
After any treatment, aftercare advice will be provided, including self-treatment where appropriate, to ensure the benefits of reflexology are maintained. This also allows you time to 'ground' yourself before leaving.
There are some cases where it will not be possible to perform a reflexology treatment, but this will be explained in more detail if appropriate.
Good hydration is key to the success of reflexology. To gain the most benefit from your treatment it is beneficial to ensure that you are well hydrated prior to your appointment. Aim to drink 1 to 2 litres of water and avoid alcohol the night before.
